Gandhubapoo always believe to return good for evil. In his biography I loved these lines and always tried to obey it. It is a magical thing for me and bapoo as well.
Here are those wonderful lines from his biography:
" પાણી આપને પાય, ભલું ભોજન તો દીજે;
આવી નમાવે શીશ, દંડવત કોડે કીજે.
આપણ ઘાસે દામ, કામ મહોરોનું કરીએ;
આપ ઉગારે પ્રાણ, તે તણા દુ:ખમાં મરીએ.
ગુણ કેડે તો ગુણ દશ ગણો, મન, વાચા, કર્મે કરી;
અવગુણ કેડે જે ગુણ કરે, તે જગમાં જીત્યો સહી.

A person doing good for good and bad for bad has no values as it is normal thing. But one who returns good for evil is the true winner of the world.
